Children

At Sayre Woods, we love children, and know that God loves them too! We strive to design high quality children’s programs for kids from birth to sixth grade with the intent of helping them come to know Jesus as savoir, and grow in knowledge and love.

Nursery. We offer nursery services for infants and toddlers at most regularly scheduled church activities and special events.

Children’s Church. On Sunday, during our 9:15AM worship service, we offer a children’s church program for children age 3 through 2nd grade. Children sit with their parents during the first part of the service and are dismissed to children’s church shortly before the sermon so that they can hear God’s Word presented in a way that is more applicable and understandable to them.

Joyful Noise is a fun and exciting musical ministry designed for children grades K-4, incorporating contemporary and classic children’s worship songs with an upbeat flair. The children meet every Sunday during the school year from 10:35-10:55am, downstairs in the educational wing, rooms 106-107. On the second Sunday of each month, the children share one of their songs during the 9:15 worship service.

Sunday School. On Sunday, during our 11AM worship service, we offer Sunday School classes for all ages. Children meet with other children their age in classes where they are taught truths and principles from God’s Word.

Vacation Bible School. During the summer, we offer a week-long Vacation Bible School. This is one of the most exciting times of the year as the whole church is transformed into a thematic Bible adventure. VBS includes Bible stories, skits, songs, crafts, games, and snacks and is typically held the third or fourth week of July.

AWANA. During the school year, we offer AWANA clubs on Thursday nights from 7:00-8:30PM. AWANA is for age 3 through 6th grade. For more information regarding AWANA, please visit our AWANA page or visit the AWANA website at www.awana.org.
