We offer many ministries designed to help adults grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and in their relationship with one another in the body of Christ, the church.
Sunday School. On Sunday mornings from 11AM-12NOON we offer Sunday School electives for adults. New electives are offered each quarter. Electives generally include studies on different books of the Bible, ladies’ studies, doctrinal studies, family issues, and video series.
Small Groups. From September through May, we offer small groups during the second and fourth Thursday/Saturday nights of the month. Most of these small groups meet in homes throughout the area (e.g., Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Manalapan, Freehold). A few meet at the church. Generally small groups meet at 7:30pm on Thursday nights but many small groups meet on Saturday nights to allow for more time for fellowship. The purpose of small groups is to build community where each person is encouraging others and being encouraged, praying for others and being prayed for, caring for others and being cared for.
Women’s Ministry. A women’s ministry team exists to provide discipleship, fellowship, and evangelistic opportunities for the women of Sayre Woods. A weekly Tuesday morning Bible study (9:30-11:00 AM) is held at the church during the school year. Other events include an annual Ladies’ Retreat, Secret Encourager fellowship events, and a Christmas Banquet. One-on-one discipleship opportunities are also available.
Men’s Ministry. Each Wednesday night at 7:00pm, our men’s ministry, Common Ground, meets for a night of basketball and other competitive activities followed by a Bible study. Throughout the year, men’s events are also planned to provide discipleship, fellowship, and evangelistic opportunities for the men of Sayre Woods. Events include an annual Men’s Retreat with the Mid-Atlantic CBA, Men’s Breakfasts, and an annual Father/Son and Father/Daughter Retreat. We also have two men’s softball teams that play other church teams from April-August.
