Sayre Woods Bible Church has launched a program to add a new 3,850 square-foot structure to the existing building on its Route 9 campus in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The new space will be built as a multi-purpose facility, providing much-needed additional space for Christian Education programs, including Sunday School classes, the popular weekly AWANA program, and the youth groups known as 180 and The Net. The space also will accommodate recreational activities, fellowship gatherings, meetings and special events.
The new building expansion is a 55‘ x 70‘ multi-purpose facility that will be constructed to the south of our auditorium. It will be accessible via the hallway leading to the kitchen and conveniently located near existing restrooms and the auditorium.
The addition of a multi-purpose room will reduce wear and tear on our auditorium, allowing us to maximize the space as a dedicated sanctuary. The new building project has been carefully budgeted to enable us to make needed upgrades and repairs to our existing sanctuary, main buildings and campus landscaping. In addition, we will make the improvements to our structures and site as required by municipal laws.
The members and friends of Sayre Woods Bible Church are excited about the building expansion program and eager to see how God will use this new facility to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. You can be a part of the building program by:
- Praying for the success of the project and the safety of the workers
- Volunteering your time and talents
- Giving generously to fund the cost of the new construction
Invest in the building program
The estimated cost to build the new multi-purpose facility and to make other necessary improvements to the main structure and grounds is $1.36 million. Sayre Woods Bible Church will fund the new building project using a three-pronged approach:
Bond offering: Working with Commonwealth Church Finance, Inc., Sayre Woods Bible Church will conduct a limited time general mortgage bond offering to finance the bulk of construction costs. This loan will be paid off in monthly increments through regular tithes and offerings and with other monies raised for the purpose of reducing the debt.
Cash contributions: The church will pay the balance of the building program cost through savings on hand and other sources of income, which include regular weekly tithes and offerings, special holiday offerings, donations, pledges and love gifts.
Fundraising: In an effort to drive down the overall debt, the church will conduct additional fundraising activities to stimulate donations over and above regular giving and investment in the bond offering.
