Our Vacation Bible School is planned for July 20-24, 2009!
This year’s theme is Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light.
Vacation Bible School is for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade. It runs from 9am-12noon.
VBS is a great time of games, Bible stories, songs, snacks, and surprises! The cost is free and all children from K-8th grade are welcome to attend.

The following classes are meeting this winter during the Sunday School hour (11am-12noon). All are welcome to attend.
Faith Through the Fire. A study of the history of Christianity with emphasis on the people who impacted the world and shaped the church, the development of the Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant churches, and a discussion of various significant world events (e.g., Fall of Rome, Islam, Crusades, Reformation).
How to Study Your Bible (Precept Class). Ever wanted to learn how to study the Bible on your own? This 14 week class will teach you step by step how to observe, interpret, and apply God’s Word. You will learn the principles right in class with no weekly homework required. Starts April 26th.
Managing Your Finances. This special video series contains financial expert Dave Ramsey’s most popular lessons from his Financial Peace University. These four crucial money topics–budgeting, paying off debt, relating to family and friends with money, and giving–include entertaining information that EVERYONE MUST LEARN regarding money. Starts April 19th.
Prayer Time. If there are burdens or concerns on your heart, join a group that meets in Pastor Steve’s office during Sunday School (11am-12noon) for encouragement and prayer.
The Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Study group will begin meeting on January 2o from 9:30-11:30am. Come join us for the study, Breaking Free: Making Liberty in Christ a Reality in Life by author and speaker Beth Moore.
This support group for anyone struggling with life’s battles, relational difficulties or the bondage of addictive habits is on Fridays, 7:30-8:30pm. The group meets in Room 102 in the CE building. For more info, send an email to overcomers@sayrewoods.org.

If you do not have a regular Bible reading plan, we invite you to join the Army of Light (AOL). We read one chapter a day from God’s Word and encourage one another through email. (There is also a blog on this website, Army of Light, with comments on much of the reading.) You can pick up a reading schedule at the Welcome Center or email Pastor Steve at steve@sayrewoods.org to sign up.
